The Ongoing research is based on the roots of the ungroundness and identity amnesia present on the artist’s hometown: São Paulo. 

Having the city starting point - a knoll that was once had an indigenous village and where late the Portuguese decide to settle, was the stage of one the most symbolic battles of the colonization process of the city.

The same location is also the place where two main ancient native road use to cross and where the ‘zero’ of the city was market (today dislocated to a new monument, 50ft away).

What lies under the soil we walk on?  How does what is constructed subsequently affect both the land and our own identity? What each place’s history has to teach us?
